I was introduced to the game of basketball at the age of eight. Since that time I have held the game in high regard and have been encouraged to uphold the integrity of this great game. Basketball has opened countless windows of opportunity for me which has shaped my life and personal and professional growth in many aspects. The game has been very good to me and I continue to be inspired by this dynamic sport.

I became a student of the game as a freshman at Gonzaga College High School.  I marveled at the way coaches stressed core fundamentals of the game. Recognizing how to paying attention to detail on every play was the difference in executing the play and progressing as a player. Basketball not only became exciting, but also it challenged me to observe, study and train harder to continually improve.  The coaches who pushed me and provided the guidance to become a better player had gifts and qualities I wanted to one day have.

I was fortunate to play for Coach Steve Joyner at Johnson C. Smith University. He continued to stress the importance of core fundamentals in the team, just as my High School coaches had previously done. This concept resulted in many wins and success in the CIAA conference, as well as in the NCAA Division II tournament. Coach Joyner afforded me additional opportunities to foster my growth as a player by placing me in positions where I coached youth league teams and assisted in basketball camps at the school. This fueled my desire to help others with the game that had been so good to me.

After Graduation, I went on to teach and coach at the High School level. It was a very rewarding experience where I could see players grow and progress every day. I was using and implementing all of the skills and knowledge my coaches had given me, which was very satisfying.

Training with Evolution is yet another endeavor where I can instruct, mentor, and develop future players. I sincerely appreciate and thank you for this opportunity.
